More Wind Generation for DTE Energy

A Request for Proposals has been issued by DTE Energy for approximately 100 megawatts of new Michigan-based wind energy to be operational by the end of 2013. The requirements for the RFP can be found at: www.dteenergy.com/renewsuppliers. Meanwhile, the company announced it would start construction on its own 110 MW wind energy project in Oliver and Chandler townships in Huron County next year. The design and permitting processes are underway, and this summer DTE Energy will seek Michigan Public Service Commission approval of the project. This would be the fourth company-owned wind park, and puts the total DTE Energy wind investment at about $500 Million for 220 MW.
