New Jersey Healthcare Regulatory Developments

Here are the most recent health care related regulatory developments as published in the New Jersey Register on January 21, 2014:

  • On January 21, 2014 at 46 N.J.R. 163, the State Board of Chiropractic Examiners published notice of its proposed readoption with amendments to its rules governing continuing education and practice requirements for chiropractors.  The amendments add an additional type of diagnostic test that chiropractors may perform and sets forth additional training and continuing education requirements for electrodiagnostic tests.
  • On January 21, 2014 at 46 N.J.R. 204, the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs published notice of its readoption with amendments to its rules governing New Jersey Veterans’ facilities.
  • On January 21, 2014 at 46 N.J.R. 214, the Department of Health published notice of its adoption of amendments to its rules and the adoption of new rules regarding Hospital policies and procedures for breast feeding.  The amendments and new rules are designed to encourage breast feeding by new mothers.
  • On January 21, 2014 at 46 N.J.R. 221, the Department of Health published notice of its readoption of its rules governing licensure of assisted living residences, comprehensive personal care homes, and assisted living programs.
  • On January 21, 2014 at 46 N.J.R. 221, the Department of Health published notice of its readoption of its rules governing the standards for licensure of long-term care facilities.
