Senate to Vote on CMS Nominee, House Continues Work on Health Care Bill

Senate Legislative Activity

The Senate will convene at 2:00 pm today, March 13.  Following any Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the nomination of Seema Verma, nominated to be Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, post-cloture; all time on the nomination will expire at 5:30pm and the Senate will vote on confirmation.

House Legislative Activity

There are no votes are expected in the House today, March 13.

On Tuesday, March 14, the House will meet at 12:00pm for morning hour and 2:00pm for legislative business. Votes will be postponed until 6:30pm.

The following legislation will be considered under suspension of the rules:

  • H.R. 132 – Arbuckle Project Maintenance Complex and District Office Conveyance Act of 2017 (Sponsored by Rep. Tom Cole / Natural Resources Committee)
