Andrew Schoulder's practice focuses on financial reorganizations, bankruptcy law and mergers and acquisitions involving distressed companies. He represents clients in bankruptcy proceedings and complex corporate restructurings. His representations have included purchasers and sellers of distressed businesses and investments, private equity funds, corporate debtors, official and ad hoc creditors' and equity committees, lenders and commercial realtors.
Mr. Schoulder has advised clients in connection with reorganizations involving a broad spectrum of industries, such as retail, restaurants, travel and entertainment, pharmaceutical, automotive, technology, telecommunications, oil and energy, metal servicing, insurance, and financial services.He has worked on the chapter 11 cases of aaiPharma Inc., Adelphia Communications Corp., ASARCO LLC, Delphi Corporation, Erickson Retirement Communities, LLC, Footstar Inc., Delta Airlines Inc., Golden Restaurants, Inc, High Voltage Engineering Corp., K.B. Toys Inc., Metromedia Steakhouses, LLC, OneTravel Holdings Inc., Oriental Trading Company, Inc., Refco Inc., Snyder Drug Stores Inc., Transmeridian Exploration Inc., Tribune Co., TW Inc., and WorldCom Inc. Mr. Schoulder has also advised noteholders in the chapter 15 case of ITSA Ltd., a Brazilian cable-television operator.
In addition, Mr. Schoulder advises financial institutions and private equity funds on all aspects of their transactions, from preliminary analysis to execution to exit.
