  • Bethany Swaton is a member of the Litigation Department focusing on insurance defense, including coverage disputes and bad faith litigation, and employment law, including defending discrimination claims. Additionally, Bethany advises employers regarding a wide range of employment issues and has updated employers’ employee handbooks. She is also a member of the firm’s sports and entertainment law practice group having previously clerked for the Pittsburgh Pirates and CBS Broadcasting, Inc. and has experience negotiating rights contracts for directors, reviewing scripts, and evaluating potential copyright infringement claims. Prior to joining the firm, Bethany served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable James E. Seibert in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia.
