  • Bruce E. Hood specializes in taxation at the federal, state and local levels. His principal areas of practice are international, real estate, corporate and partnership taxation. He has advised clients on taxable and tax-free mergers and acquisitions, partnership formation and restructuring, preimmigration tax planning, tax-free exchanges of real estate and REIT formation and operation. Mr. Hood also has extensive experience in FIRPTA planning and compliance and all types of matters pertaining to income tax treaties. He has spoken at seminars on the subject of international taxation and has published several articles on related topics.

    Mr. Hood graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University (B.A.summa cum laude 1974) and the University of South Carolina (J.D. cum laude 1977), where he served on the editorial staff of the LL.M. in taxation from New York University Law School in 1981.
