Chair, Equipment Finance Group
Dean N. Gerber is a shareholder at Vedder Price P.C. and chairs the Equipment Finance Group. He has extensive experience as special counsel representing lessees, equity participants, lenders, credit enhancers, underwriters, governmental agencies and others on various aspects of aircraft finance, rail finance and other general equipment finance, including leveraged leasing, operating leasing, mortgage and synthetic lease financings, cross-border leasing, securitizations (including "EETCs" and pass-through certificates), government (export credit agency) supported financings, manufacturer supported financings, bankruptcy, restructurings and workouts, and purchase, maintenance and conversion agreements. Mr. Gerber has specific knowledge of structured tax-motivated financings such as U.S.-leveraged leases. He also has participated significantly in the development and structuring of financings involving export credit agencies (primarily the Export-Import Bank of the United States).
