Ellen Arvin Kennedy is a Partner in the Corporate Department and a member of the firm's Business Restructuring and Reorganization Practice Group. Ellen concentrates her practice on commercial bankruptcy, insolvency and creditors’ rights. She represents Chapter 11 debtors, creditors’ committees and general trade creditors. Her trial background serves clients who require her to successfully litigate and mediate high-stakes matters in both bankruptcy and state courts. She has significant experience advising bankruptcy trustees in Chapter 11 and complex Chapter 7 cases, and has extensive knowledge of both pursuing and defending avoidance actions and preference cases. She also serves as counsel to businesses in general commercial matters, as well as individual corporate officers on personal and professional liability issues. Ellen’s clients include local, regional and national corporations and their principals.
