Emmie R. Smith is an Associate in Miller Mayer’s Immigration Practice.

Ms. Smith represents clients pursuing a broad range of nonimmigrant and immigrant options. She assists regional businesses with employment-based petitions as well as with the firm’s EB-5 investor and regional center practice. Prior to joining Miller Mayer, Ms. Smith was associate director of education for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) where she produced various immigration trainings and publications.  She has also worked as a foreign attorney at a renowned law firm in Tokyo, Japan, focusing on general corporate and international business matters.

Ms. Smith is a member of AILA and the New York State and District of Columbia bars. She received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and her B.A. from Cornell University. She also has an LL.M. in Transnational Law from Temple University.
