Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices / Mass Tort

Heidi represents drug and medical device manufacturers in nationwide mass tort litigation, multi-district litigation and individual lawsuits. She employs successful defense strategies in each case as well as in her capacity as National Coordinating Counsel, where she has managed the defense of hundreds of cases throughout numerous jurisdictions. Heidi also routinely aids her clients in the creation of policies and procedures in conjunction with counseling them in risk management, the protection of proprietary business information, and FDA regulatory compliance and reporting.

Medical Malpractice 

Heidi pursues a proven line of defense in her medical malpractice cases, but never misses the opportunity for a creative solution. She seeks first to prove that the client did not act negligently with grounds for a malpractice case, and clearly defines the difference between malpractice and circumstances that are beyond the control of the health care provider. In addition to defending health care providers in lawsuits, Heidi counsels her clients on matters relating to obtaining informed consent, proper record keeping and other proactive patient safety measures. She also represents doctors and nurses before their respective licensing boards and the Department of Public Health.

Product Liability 

Heidi has successfully defended cases on behalf of product manufacturers in the courts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Heidi’s cases typically involve catastrophic injury. Her no-nonsense approach to achieving timely, cost-efficient positive results has served her clients well across a wide variety of industries.
