Kendall E. Waters

Professional Biography

Kendall Waters is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is a member of the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice. Previously, Ms. Waters worked as a summer associate with Foley, where she focused on issues in complex litigation, business litigation, and civil procedure. She also gained experience as a student attorney with the Jacob Burns Community Legal Clinics, where she partnered with experienced advocates to secure a favorable benefits determination for her client in an Office of Administrative Hearings case.

As a law student, Ms. Waters acquired legal experience in various roles, including as a legal intern with the Federal Trade Commission in their healthcare division of the Bureau of Competition, a consultant intern for the Women, Business, and the Law Division at the World Bank Group, and a judicial intern for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Prior to her legal career, Ms. Waters gained international work experience as an account executive with Sweeney Vesty in New Zealand.

Education

Ms. Waters earned her law degree from The George Washington University Law School (J.D., 2016), where she graduated with academic honors. During this time, she received a Presidential Volunteer Service Award as well as pro bono hours recognition from both the law school and the GW Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service. She was a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association Journal. Ms. Waters received her bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations, with a minor in global studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (B.A., cum laude, 2012), where she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society and held several executive positions in Kappa Alpha Theta.
