Kristopher Kest

Professional Biography

Kristopher Kest is a senior associate in the firm’s Litigation and eDiscovery practices. Admitted to practice before all Florida state courts and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Kristopher primarily represents businesses and individuals in commercial litigation matters throughout the state of Florida, at both the trial and appellate levels. Kristopher's clients are generally involved in contract, tort, real property, or eDiscovery disputes. He also has experience representing banks in foreclosure actions and high net worth family law clients. Kristopher has co-authored several briefs before the Florida's Fifth District Court of Appeal, including for Eppinger v. Sealy, et al., 25 So.3d 69 (Fla. 5th DCA 2009).

Kristopher is active in the firm’s pro bono practice, advocating as a guardian ad litem for the best interests of abused, abandoned, and neglected children in the state's dependency system.

An Orlando native and a fifth generation Floridian, Kristopher worked as a patrol officer for the Fulton County Police Department in Atlanta, before earning his J.D. (with honors). Kristopher is a member of the Board of Directors for the Orange County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Section and is the founder and chair of the YLS-Law School Mentoring Program. He also participates in the Florida Supreme Court’s “Justice Teaching” program, among many other community activities.
