Matthew counsels clients in a variety of areas of healthcare law, including general regulatory compliance, Office of Inspector General and Department of Justice investigations, Stark Law, state and federal anti-kickback statutes, False Claims Act investigations, HIPAA, audits, payer-provider billing disputes, reimbursement and overpayment issues, and mergers, acquisitions, and joint-venture transactions.

Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Matthew worked for one of the largest healthcare law firms in the United States, where he represented clients throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe. He has represented hospitals, pharmacies, durable medical equipment suppliers, laboratories, physicians, and other healthcare providers in fraud and abuse compliance matters, government and third-party investigations, payments issues, and healthcare business transactions.

Matthew enjoys spending his free time with his wonderful wife, Brandi, and their four dogs, and in the outdoors.
