Maxwell K. Multer is a member of the Labor & Employment Department working with the Mine Safety & Health Practice Group. He represents mine operators in managing all aspects of their relationship with their federal regulator, the Mine Safety and Health Administration, from mining plan disputes to the defense of enforcement actions. Max defends mine operators faced with both standard and elevated enforcement actions, including alleged significant and substantial violations, unwarrantable failure citations/orders, and imminent danger withdrawal orders. He also counsels individuals who have received personal assessments under Section 110(c) of the Mine Act.
