Michael Derksen is an Associate in the Litigation Department, resident in the Chicago office.

Michael represents clients in complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on insurance coverage litigation and general business disputes. His insurance coverage counseling spans a wide range of topics, including directors' and officers' liability insurance, first-party property liability, environmental liability, and asbestos liability claims.

In his general commercial litigation practice, Michael represents and counsels clients in a variety of general commercial business disputes, including those concerning healthcare, breach of contract, labor & employment and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), non-compete & trade secrets, bankruptcy, class-action defense, white-collar defense, false claims, outsourcing, and financial services.
