Miguel Cano is an associate specializing in capital markets. He previously served as head of the legal, trust and compliance division for several broker/dealers, and was in charge of managing litigation and providing advice to the treasury department of a global commercial bank in the Dominican Republic. He has more than six years of experience as a banking and capital markets attorney. His work involves advising on monetary and financial regulation, as well as the financial structuring of transactions and instruments. This specialized legal practice generates great value for financial institutions.

Miguel is a regular professor at one of the leading academic institutions of the Dominican Republic. He instructs courses on subjects such as capital markets and financial institutions, and legal business environment, for the bachelor administration dual degree program, in alliance with a US university. Miguel is also a professor on financial regulation for the Judicial National School of the DR.

Miguel is a founding member of the Junior Attorneys National Association of the Dominican Republic.
