Nan Beaird is an experienced government affairs regulatory attorney who assists local, national and international clients with their regulatory needs. Her practice centers on the vector between the regulatory and business worlds. She frequently assists clients who need representation in the areas of insurance, insurance taxation, the prescription drug business, traditional and innovative health care businesses, and payment issues such as government payment audits and payment delays.

Through her years as a regulatory attorney, Nan has developed significant and positive relationships with the Texas Department of Insurance during the tenures of multiple Commissioners of Insurance, and she has represented both insurers (including captives) and those who have created entities and arrangements that raise questions about whether the “business of insurance” is involved.
