Rebecca Matthews is a Partner in Wiggin and Dana’s Health Care and Corporate Departments, Co-chair of the firm’s Academic Medical Centers, Hospitals and Health Systems Practice Group, and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. She counsels health care clients through significant and strategic transactions to help them accomplish their business objectives and improve care in their service areas. Her understanding of health law and the health care industry has helped clients successfully navigate the uncertainties of a constantly changing regulatory environment.

Rebecca has guided clients through mergers and affiliations, acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate reorganizations. Her health care regulatory experience includes certificate of need matters, licensure matters, HIPAA, fraud and abuse, and other Medicare compliance matters. Rebecca also advises academic medical centers, universities, and health care providers on licensing deals, R&D (research and development) agreements, strategic alliances, and contract issues.
