Robert J. Emanuel is an experienced litigator and trial attorney who concentrates his practice on the defense of banks, mortgage lenders and servicers, and related industry clients in consumer financial services litigation. He represents companies in matters involving disputes under the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Robert also defends clients against claims brought under various state consumer protection statutes, qui tam and whistleblower lawsuits, and alleged RICO violations. Recent cases he has handled have included individual, multidistrict and class action lawsuits alleging credit defamation, consumer fraud, payment processing errors, and disputes involving business and consumer services.
