  • Scott B. Murray, a Member of Sills Cummis & Gross, handles antitrust matters and complex business litigation, especially matters involving health care, intellectual property and technology issues, in state and federal courts, as well as before national and international arbitration panels.

    As part of his antitrust practice, Mr. Murray advises clients regarding the full range of antitrust issues — counseling on business strategy, compliance and transactional issues, obtaining merger clearances, representation in government investigations, and representation in government and private litigation.  He has also successfully defended against, and pursued, antitrust claims for clients in both state and federal court.

    As part of his complex business litigation practice, Mr. Murray has represented and counseled clients including technology companies, commodity and luxury product manufacturers, commercial landlords, health care providers, an international industrial manufacturer and several financial institutions. He has also practiced extensively in federal bankruptcy court in adversary proceedings regarding mortgage issues and auditor, director and officer liability.

    Mr. Murray is Co-Chair of the Firm’s Hiring Committee and the Firm’s Diversity Committee.

    Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Murray practiced antitrust law in Washington, D.C. Before entering private practice, Mr. Murray spent almost three years with the Telecommunications Task Force of the Antitrust Division.  Prior to joining the Antitrust Division in 1995, Mr. Murray clerked for the Honorable Samuel D. Natal, Superior Court of New Jersey, Camden County Vicinage, Criminal Division.

    Mr. Murray is a 1994 graduate of Rutgers University-Camden School of Law, where in addition to receiving his Juris Doctor, he received an International and Foreign Law Honors Certificate with Distinction. He received a B.S.E. degree from Princeton University in 1991. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.
