Scott Rahn is a litigator who focuses his practice on representing financial services companies (including banks, broker-dealers, trust companies, investment companies, investment advisors, and hedge funds), their executives, and individuals in securities and estate/probate and trust matters before various tribunals, including federal and state courts and arbitral forums such as the Financial Services Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Scott has considerable experience prosecuting and defending claims for breach of fiduciary duty (including self-dealing, theft and over-concentration/failure to diversify), principal ratification, elder abuse, negligence, fraud (including ponzi schemes), misrepresentation, undue influence, and violation of federal and state laws and industry regulations. Scott also regularly advises clients concerning their regulatory compliance obligations and represents executives in regulatory enforcement proceedings before private industry and government regulators.
