Stanley B. Block has practiced in the corporate, business and commercial law fields since 1957 with emphasis on complex and major commercial litigation, arbitration, mediation and other alternate dispute resolution procedures. While concentrated on post-acquisition business disputes, his experience also includes patent, trademark and trade dress, antitrust, unfair and deceptive trade practices, securities, real estate, construction, multi party insurance coverage and related litigation. He also counsels business clients in acquisitions and a variety of commercial transactions.
Mr. Block has served on the firm’s Board of Directors and as head of the firm’s Litigation Practice. In addition, he has served as the firm’s representative to the CPR International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution and is a member of the CPR Panel of Neutrals. He is admitted to practice before the Illinois Supreme Court, the United States Supreme Court and various federal courts of appeals and district courts and is a member of the Trial Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
