Dr. Elmer is an associate in the Biotechnology/Chemical Group.  She assists in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications.  She also provides support in the research and preparation of validity, infringement and patentability opinions.  Her technical experience includes organic chemistry, polymers, combinatorial chemistry and the spectroscopic characterization of polymeric materials.

Dr. Elmer's graduate work focused on the design, synthesis and characterization of cross-linked templated dendrimers, which were used as hosts to study binding selectivity with saccharides, nucleosides and porphyrins.
