Wei Wei Jeang focuses on the procurement, licensing and enforcement of intellectual property, including patents, copyright, trademarks and trade secrets of high tech clients. She also works closely with clients on patent reexaminations and legal opinions related to patent infringement, validity, freedom-to-operate, clearance and other issues. She works with clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to solo inventors to secure and protect their patent rights.
Although her technical degree is in computer engineering, she has worked with clients involved in many industries, including telecommunications, semiconductor devices and fabrication, electrical and electronic circuits, computer hardware and software, Internet-based online systems, image capture devices, information technology system and methodology, electronic device networking and control systems, medical devices, optical sensors, waste water treatment technologies, retail display devices, mechanical structures and devices, etc.
Prior to law school, Wei Wei was a research engineer at Caterpillar Inc. where she worked on research projects such as the GPS-guided unmanned mining truck and microprocessor-controlled systems. She also researched and applied new technologies to Caterpillar engineering processes and products.
