Yamilet Hurtado is a litigation associate at the firm’s Miami office where her practice focuses on employment law and commercial litigation.

In the area of employment law, Ms. Hurtado defends employers in wide range of employment disputes, including wage and hour claims, discrimination and/or retaliation lawsuits, and whistleblower actions. Additionally, Ms. Hurtado advises employers on day-to-day employment matters before adversarial disputes arise to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. She also conducts internal investigations related to various compliance matters including allegations of discrimination, harassment, fraud, corruption, and/or corporate governance irregularities. Ms. Hurtado also drafts and prepares handbooks and related policies for employers. She also counsels and trains company personnel on ethics and code of conduct compliance, diversity, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Ms. Hurtado also conducts employment and anti-corruption due diligence in the context of mergers and acquisitions.
