An In-Depth Look at the Recent Labor and Employment Rules Affecting Government Contractors
Webinar, Hosted By Covington & Burling LLP
Tuesday, October 25, 2016 - 8:00 AM
Amid the recent deluge of regulations imposed upon federal government contractors, this webinar will focus on new, revised, and expanded rules affecting their labor and employment obligations. The presentation will analyze recently finalized rules governing paid sick leave, minimum wage, human trafficking, non-discrimination and affirmative action, and the regulations and supplemental guidance implementing the Fair Pay and Safe Workplaces Executive Order. These new rules will require contractors to update recordkeeping systems, monitor and disclose potential violations of more than a dozen federal labor laws, and revise various reporting procedures. The topics we will examine include the following
What are the key provisions of the regulations, and how will they be implemented?
What are the potential consequences for noncompliance with these new rules?
How might high-profile litigation regarding non-discrimination directives affect the federal contracting community?
How can contractors prepare to comply with the new regulations?
