On August 19, 2015, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) released a 113-page set of proposed changes to post-grant proceedings. These proposed changes are significant and if passed, they will change the way PTAB proceedings (the possibility for third parties to challenge the validity of granted patents in front of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board) are being handled.
