Thriving in the Tides of Change: Managing Employees in a Changing Legal Landscape

Seminar, Hosted By Polsinelli PC

Wednesday, September 28, 2016 - 5:15 AM

The final year of the Obama administration, the upcoming November general election, and the looming change to the Supreme Court are creating great uncertainty for today’s employers. Now more than ever, it is critical for executives and in-house counsel to monitor the ebbs and flows in the ever-changing waters of employment law, and plan ahead for the impact to their businesses in 2017 and beyond.

JOIN US on September 28, 2016 at our annual Labor, Employment and Benefits Conference, held this year at the Denver Art Museum in Denver, Colorado. Panelists include two former Congressmen, in-house counsel at BP America, a Regional Director of the EEOC, an industrial organizational psychologist and a Professor of Employment Law at Colorado Law School. They will join Polsinelli shareholders in the firm’s Labor and Employment, Employee Benefits, and Public Policy practices to discuss changes in employment and employee benefits law they have witnessed in the year since our last conference, and likely changes in the year to come. Their insight will equip you to plan for additional changes on the horizon.

Topics for this seminar will include:

  • The significant changes in equal pay and white collar exemption laws

  • The evolution of the use of “Big Data” in employee recruiting and selection

  • Key issues with a new President and Supreme Court appointee

  • Internal investigation best practices to avoid increasingly ubiquitous government investigations

  • Legal lessons learned in 2015-16, presented in an entertaining “rapid-fire” session
