Understanding MACRA’s Strategic and Compliance Implications
Webinar, Hosted By Polsinelli PC
Thursday, May 25, 2017 - 7:00 AM
The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) made significant changes to the Medicare payment system for physician services. Under MACRA, Medicare fee for service payments for physicians and other practitioners are more closely aligned with quality, cost, and other “value-based” variables. As MACRA implementation begins, the law’s strategic, compliance and other implications are beginning to be understood. This webinar will provide an overview of MACRA and its changes to Medicare fee for service and provide perspective on strategic implementation of, and compliance with the law. Following an overview of MACRA’s basic requirements, the presentation will focus on strategic implications for physicians and health care delivery systems as they implement MACRA in the near future and position themselves for long-term success.
Our agenda:
-
MACRA’s incentive structures and common compensation and financial incentive programs used by the industry today
-
Timing and strategic considerations regarding the development and migration of alternative payment models
-
Potential innovative organizational and funds flow structures in an evolving payment environment
-
Key compliance considerations and potential pitfalls under MACRA and related programs
