AFL-CIO: Union Members Will Not Disrupt Super Bowl Festivities

The Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ) is reporting that Indiana AFL-CIO's president will ensure that union members will not disrupt the Super Bowl festivities in downtown Indianapolis after their efforts to block Indiana's right-to-work legislation failed.

Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels Signs Controversial Right-To-Work Legislation

Earlier today (February 1, 2012), the Indiana Senate passed the controversial right-to-work legislation by a vote of 28-22. Governor Daniels has just signed the bill into law. USA Today's coverage of the event can be found here. 

As we reported earlier, hundreds of union members flooded downtown in protest. From our vantage point on the 16th floor of the Barnes & Thornburg building, things appear to have calmed down a bit.
