iOn Monday, November 25, 2019, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation announced that the Request for Applications (“RFA”) and Letter of Intent (“LOI”) for the Global and Professional options of the Direct Contracting Model are now available. Parties interested in participating in the Global and Professional options who have not previously done so can submit an LOI until December 10th. There will be two application submission periods for the Global and Professional options: one for applicants interested in participating in the Implementation Period and a second submission period for applicants wanting to start the model in the first performance year.
The application for participation in the Implementation Period opened on November 25th and will extend until February 24, 2020. The application tool will become available in December 2019.
