Andrew Monthey assists companies with various financial and corporate transactions, both domestically and internationally. He is a member of the firm’s Business Transactions Group.
Andy regularly counsels clients in Canada and the United Kingdom in connection with cross-border transactions with U.S. companies and with the establishment of U.S. operations. His practice includes assisting foreign lending institutions in loan transactions and other international clients with cross-border mergers and acquisitions and other general corporate services. He is also proficient in German.
Andy provides counsel on a range of business transactions, including private equity, venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions, and other general corporate matters. He has provided support to a team of lawyers in private equity deals valued up to $98 million, and has represented a large corporation in the dissolution of its subsidiary. He also provides counsel on regulatory matters and litigation risks facing transactions, including possible risks arising from the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) oversight.
