Angus C. Beverly

Angus C. Beverly is an associate in our San Francisco office and a member of our Real Estate and Land Use groups. Angus assists clients in variety of land use and planning issues from the CEQA and NEPA review process and litigation to housing development, development agreements, Public Records Act, Coastal Act, and major public infrastructure projects.

Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Angus was an associate with Sohagi Law Group where he counseled public agencies on a variety of complex land use and environmental regulatory matters. During law school, he gained invaluable knowledge of land use and environmental law with positions such as, an externship for a real estate holding company where he worked on a major CEQA lawsuit over a mixed-use infill development, and an internship at the Los Angeles County Office of the County Counsel.

Additionally, at UCLA School of  Law, Angus served as the President of the UCLA Real Estate Law Association, was a Howard and Irene Levin Program in Housing and Social Responsibility Fellow through UCLA's Ziman Center for Real Estate and worked as an articles editor for UCLA's Journal of Environmental Law and Policy.

As an elected member of the Westwood Neighborhood Council for six years, Angus gained a variety of experience in land use and zoning matters from the perspective of public decision-makers. Prior to law school, Angus served as a policy staff assistant to Los Angeles County Supervisor, Don Knabe.
