Ariane Tschumi is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Washington, D.C., office. She focuses her practice on general health matters.
Ariane previously served as an analyst and Presidential Management Fellow in the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. At CMMI, she helped develop aspects of Maryland's new state-wide all-payer approach and was responsible for drafting and negotiating the legal agreement between CMS and the State; she also worked at CMMI on legal and programmatic issues related to the design and implementation of various accountable care organization and advanced primary care initiatives. Ariane also has worked in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the Inspector General, providing guidance to the department on matters related to the health insurance marketplaces and to CMMI on delivery and payment reform models, and in the HHS Office of the General Counsel, Public Health Division.
