Banking

The banking industry is constantly evolving. Long-standing banking institutions are fighting to stay viable and relevant in today’s competitive marketplace.

We understand the business of banking and the impact that technology is having on it.

Our clients are some of the top banks and financial institutions in the nation, the largest regional employers, and many of them are products of mergers and acquisitions in recent years.

We advise banks and financial institutions on all legal aspects of their operations, including the training of employees, the implementation of new policies and procedures, and in complementary services such as employee benefits, employment, FinTech, privacy, and more. We regularly assist financial services clients in the development and implementation of new products and services, complying with state and federal regulatory requirements, and responding to regulators.

Our lending team has a high degree of expertise and experience in structuring, closing, and restructuring commercial lending transactions, including real estate and commercial and industrial loans, syndicated and participated loans, tax credit financing, asset based loans, bond and letter of credit-backed loans and transactions, equipment lease financing, agricultural loans, and SBA- and FHA-guaranteed loans.

Our creditors’ rights team represents lenders in bankruptcy proceedings, and all aspects of the collection process in state and federal courts. We have significant experience with receivership, foreclosures, and collateral liquidations, and also regularly defend lender liability claims, and preference/fraudulent transfer actions.
