Daniel A. Hantman

Daniel focuses his practice on litigation and dispute resolution.

Before joining Much Shelist, he served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Diane J. Larsen in the General Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. As a Judicial Law Clerk, Daniel researched a broad range of procedural and substantive legal issues at every stage of litigation and emergency threshold. In addition, Daniel managed the court’s electronic docketing databases and drafted form orders currently employed by the court.

Daniel has experience conducting legal research and drafting an array of legal documents, including memoranda, orders, complaints, cease and desist letters, motions and their accompanying briefs in support, interrogatories, trial findings of fact and conclusions of law, appellate briefs, and appellate decisions. He has studied and written about the intersection of law and digital technology, including conducting foundational research for I Know Who You Are and I Saw What You Did, a book by Professor Lori Andrews that explores the constantly evolving interface between digital media and the law.
