Darius J. Goldman is head of Katten's Distressed Debt and Claims Trading practice. Darius provides transactional guidance to clients who originate, restructure and invest in or trade distressed assets in both domestic and foreign jurisdictions.
With respect to pre-insolvency risk management, Darius counsels clients on mechanisms to manage credit risk exposure to their active trading counterparties. He negotiates and structures Receivable Put Agreements and similar hedges against non-payment, which are designed to provide a trade vendor with custom-tailored account receivable protection in the event of a bankruptcy or liquidation of their business counterparty.
