Elizabeth Thomsen is an associate at the firm’s Raleigh office. She is a member of the commercial technology and sourcing practice group. Ms. Thomsen’s practice focuses on commercial and corporate transactions involving complex intellectual property, technology, and data issues. She works with clients across a broad variety of industries, including the technology, media, and entertainment sectors, on matters involving strategic asset development, production, licensing, distribution, and protection, as well as the formation and operation of joint ventures and strategic alliances.
She has substantial experience with technology, content, and data licensing and transfers; technology and software application development, including mobile application development and integration; cloud computing and hosted technology; artificial intelligence; blockchain and distributed ledger technology; the Internet of Things; social media, user-generated content, and digital services; content production and distribution; advertising, marketing, and branded entertainment campaigns; and talent engagement, including a working knowledge of entertainment industry guild agreements. Ms. Thomsen also frequently provides counsel on data use, privacy, and security matters, as well as intellectual property and technology matters in large corporate transactions.
