Hersh Mehta is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm's Chicago office. He practices intellectual property law with a focus on patent litigation and prosecution.
Hersh has represented clients in patent disputes throughout the country. He has litigated cases in various district courts, inter partes reviews in the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, Section 337 Investigations in the U.S. International Trade Commission and appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He is experienced in all facets of patent litigation, including bench and jury trials, claim construction hearings, summary judgment proceedings and discovery.
Hersh also has experience in developing patent portfolios for clients in various high-tech industries. He has drafted and prosecuted patent applications on cellular technologies, cryptographic systems, web technologies, automotive systems, microprocessors, wearable electronics and medical devices.
Hersh is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
