John Tanner served as Chief Legal Officer of CAC Specialty, a risk solutions company designed to bring an innovative vision to insurance broking and complex risks starting in August 2019 in Atlanta, GA.  He also oversaw the company's complex claims advocacy unit. Leveraging his background as a former securities litigation attorney at Alston & Bird, LLP (and insurance coverage litigation experience at Arnall Golden Gregory LLP and Swift Currie McGhee & Hiers, LLP) as well as sixteen years building out a claims unit from the ground up for the financial lines division of a top 6 traditional insurance broker, I assist corporate clients with insurance contract negotiation, claim resolution, and policyholder insurance recovery.

Mr. Tanner also served as a senior vice president & division counsel for insurance broker McGriff, Seibels, & Williams, Inc. (a BB&T company). As a licensed property and casualty agent and, in his role at McGriff, frequently assisted clients with policy negotiation and claim resolution.
