Jonathan D. Sundheimer is an associate in the Indianapolis, Indiana office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP and is a member of the firm’s Finance, Insolvency and Restructuring Department. He has experience modifying and enforcing commercial real estate loans. His practice includes bankruptcy, commercial litigation, loan restructuring and real estate matters. In bankruptcy, he has represented creditors in all aspects of Chapter 11 proceedings, including cash collateral disputes, 363 sales and plan confirmations. In commercial litigation, he regularly represents special servicers and financial institutions throughout Indiana in negotiating loan modifications and loan enforcement. In both bankruptcy and commercial litigation, his work has led to successful opinions in Indiana state and federal courts, the Indiana Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Out of court, he has helped restructure loans secured by real property, rents, and equipment.
