Joshua A. DeCuir is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group, where he focuses his practice on financial and commercial transactions.

As a corporate transactional attorney with broad experience, Josh represents clients primarily in the energy, oil, and gas marketplaces. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as in-house counsel at several large and small companies and in private practice. Drawing on his dual perspective, Josh analyzes the issues at hand and creatively navigates the unique dynamics of each client’s situation.

Josh drafts, reviews, and negotiates complex multi-party agreements with market-leading US and international clients, with a recent focus on the LNG market along the Gulf Coast. These contracts include master services agreements; joint ventures; engineering, procurement, and construction agreements; and purchase and sale agreements.

Josh also assists publicly traded and privately held companies with a variety of corporate finance transactions such as credit facilities and revolving loans, registered and unregistered securities offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. He also advises clients on corporate law compliance, including the structuring and forming of new corporations and LLCs, fund formations, SEC regulatory compliance and reporting obligations, and corporate governance best practices.

Fueled by dedication to his profession and a strong sense of civic duty, Josh volunteers his time outside the office for various organizations. He has taught skills courses and continuing legal education programs on various corporate law topics and is a founding member of the board of directors of a charter school.
