Julia Di Vito is an associate and government contracts lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. She represents large and small businesses that are government prime contractors and subcontractors.
Julia represents government contractors in bid protests before the U.S. Government Accountability Office, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and state agencies. In addition, Julia drafts requests for equitable adjustment and claims under federal government contracts, and litigates appeals of government contracts claims.
Julia also assists government prime contractors and subcontractors in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating government contracts, cooperative agreements, and Other Transaction Authority agreements. She advises clients on government contracts compliance obligations and assists government contractors in conducting internal investigations to address government contracts compliance issues if they arise. Additionally, Julia counsels small businesses on requirements under the federal small business programs.
Julia performs due diligence in connection with mergers and acquisitions when the stock or assets of government contractors are being acquired. As part of this due diligence, when representing the buyer, she reviews the target company’s compliance with its government contracts and identifies any areas of risk or significant liability. When representing the seller, she assists with responding to due diligence requests and preparing disclosure schedules.
Prior to joining Foley, Julia worked at a law firm in Washington, D.C. where she gained experience in the areas of bid protests and small business protests, government contract claims and appeals, investigations, government procurement regulations and compliance requirements and litigation.
