Julia A. Turk represents clients in a variety of transactional matters, including federal, state and local income taxation and general corporate and partnership law. Julia is involved in all aspects of the creation of tax-efficient structures in mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, private equity funds and corporations. She advises clients on the federal income tax consequences relating to the formation and operation of limited liability companies, general and limited partnerships, tax-exempt organizations, and S and C Corporations.
Julia negotiates operating, partnership and shareholder agreements and incentive compensation arrangements, including stock options, warrants and phantom stock plans. Her experience includes advising investors, lenders and developers in low-income housing tax credit, rehabilitation tax credits and new markets tax credits transactions
