Katie assists with the full procedural spectrum of patent issues including preparation, filing, and prosecution of patent applications. She brings a technical background to bear on her work conducting patentability and patent clearance studies, analyzing actions by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and preparing corresponding responses and communicating with clients.

Katie worked in-house for a client for three months on secondment in 2015. In this capacity, she worked closely with company engineers to assist them in the patent process and helped train an in-house patent engineer.
