Katie L. Birchenough represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters including business torts, and breach of contract claims.  She also advises clients on a variety of New York State legislative, regulatory, and procurement matters and provides legal counsel to clients during government investigations and administrative appeals.

Previously, Katie was a legislative analyst for Program and Counsel at the New York State Assembly, serving as a lead negotiator and drafter of many significant pieces of legislation, including the Protection of People with Special Needs Act of 2012. She also oversaw the negotiations of New York’s Medicaid and mental hygiene budgets including the implementation of many Medicaid Redesign Team (“MRT”) proposals.
