Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Kevin worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University. His graduate and postdoctoral research focused on quantum information and quantum optics, in both fiber and free space, with applications to quantum cryptography and computing. His work has been published in Physical Review Letters and Journal of Modern Optics.

Kevin earned his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with two B.S. degrees, one in physics and one in computer engineering.

Kevin is not regularly admitted to practice in the local courts of Indiana.
