Leonard Giannone

Leonard Giannone strategically guides clients by focusing on virtually all aspects of their intellectual property, with an emphasis on patent portfolio management and development. As a counselor, he draws on his legal experience and technical knowledge to provide business value.

Leonard is skilled in preparing and prosecuting patent applications related to a wide range of technologies, including optical devices, control systems, acoustics, wireless communications, user interfaces, mobile applications, medical devices, gas turbine engines, electro-mechanical devices, industrial processes, and device housings.

Leonard’s practice further includes rendering legal opinions on patentability, patent validity, and freedom-to-operate. He is adept at preparing and prosecuting design patent applications and in guiding foreign patent procurement.

Prior to practicing law, Leonard spent several years as a patent examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), during which time he examined patent applications involving audio signal processing hardware and software.
