Lily Rao is an attorney in the firm’s Employment Law Practice Group. Lily has represented clients in a wide variety of cases, including defending financial services and technology companies, law firms, individuals, and employers throughout every stage of complex litigation. Lily advocates on behalf of employers in disputes before agencies such as the Maine Human Rights Commission, and in federal and state court. Lily is also a certified Title IX investigator.
One of Lily’s areas of interest is at the intersection of the workplace and laws governing competition. Lily has experience with antitrust and competition issues in the employment and HR sectors. This includes working with clients to construct and enforce non-competition agreements, implement policies for the protection of trade secrets, and manage other aspects of the employment relationship. Previously, Lily defended an animation studio in an antitrust class action brought by former employees regarding alleged no-poaching agreements and wage suppression.
