Maja Hartzell is an associate at the Tampa office of Ogletree Deakins. She focuses her practice on representing employers on all aspects of labor and employment law. Maja is a dual-citizen and she came to Florida from Poland in 2014 after she graduated with a M.A. in American Studies from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Before she went to law school, Maja was a certified paralegal working for a family law practice in Clearwater. Maja discovered employment law in the summer after her first year of law school, and from that point forward focused all her attention on exploring various aspects of labor and employment law. Maja completed externships at the Florida Commission on Human Relations, Public Employees Relations Commission, and at an in-house legal department for a big corporation in Orlando. During her second year of law school, Maja was recognized by the Florida Bar Labor and Employment Law Section as one of the 2018-2019 Outstanding Labor and Employment Law Students, and received a book award in Alternative Dispute Resolution Seminar. She graduated cum laude from Florida State University College of Law in 2019.
